Multivariate data analysis (Chemometrics)
This course is about how to analyze and extract useful information from experimental data, including large datasets with thousands samples and variables.
The theoretical part of the course includes 11 lectures (90–150 minutes each) with examples and live exercises. The outline of the lectures is given in course description. Most of the lectures have corresponding practice sets, where students can try the discussed methods solving various problems. The practice sets as well as datasets, needed to complete the exercises, are distributed among course participants.
The course has 2 ECTS points value. In order to evaluate the student activity a report is needed for each practice set. The reports should include details of how a particular problem has been solved, all used plots and their descriptions, answers to questions, student comments, necessary to understand what have been done, and conclusions.
ACABS also provides this course (as well as its short and extended versions) for external parties/ industry and PhD students.
