Fields of interest
I became acquainted with Chemometrics on 2002, when was a scientific secretary of Second Winter School on Chemometrics (WSC-2) — united project of Russian Chemometrics Society and ACABS group from Aalborg University Esbjerg. Now, Chemometrics, especially in image processing and analysis, is one of my basic interests. Actually, I am interested in any things, connected with image acquisition, processing, recognition, analysis and classification. The modern imaging techniques, like NIR, are also part of my interests.
Last 15 years I also work half time as an IT-specialist so it gave me some moderate skills in programming and network technologies.
Education
In 1997 I graduated Altai State University (Barnaul, Russia), my diploma was devoted to using Walsh-Hadamard transformation in texture analysis. In 2002 I have got a PhD degree with thesis “Fractal analysis of deformation structure and fracture surfaces of heterogeneous metal materials”.
Teaching and supervising
I taught a lot in my previous place – Altai State University primarily about Image Processing and analysis, Network Technologies, Computer Graphics and Modern methods of data analysis. Then I took a year off because I had to combine my research job with working in IT-department but hope to come back soon. There is also about 25 B.Sc. and M.Sc. thesis that was made under my supervision and now I help to one of my students to work on his PhD thesis.
